Today I am using another of the photo gallery quality frames that I purchased at a consignment shop, here. This one was $4. It is a really nice frame. It has a lot of detail, a rich warm wood tone, an inset of fabric, and a stripe of black paint. It was also lightly distressed already so I didn’t distress this one, but I did touch up some scuff marks with Old English polish with scratch cover. I measured the opening. Then cut a piece of cardboard to fit the opening snugly. I then cut a piece of quilted fabric the same size as the cardboard. I brushed on a coat of Mod Podge and attached the material. These shelving units handmade in Shropshire really are a great focal point on their own and look even better when adorned with family photos, candles, books
, trophies, collectables or DVDs. All pieces are new and have been sanded right back, the shelves are treated with a semi-gloss light oak colour which makes the grain really stand out and shimmer under light. The centre post is distressed to give it a rustic farmhouse look using various methods. The shelves measure 19.5cm x 59cm. The overall height of the unit is 73cm and the overall width is 61.5cm (in both directions). Candles, photo frames, signs etc are not included, nor are the eyelets to attach hanging plaques. Units come with wall fittings. PLEASE SPECIFY IF IT WILL BE FITTED ONTO PLASTERBOARD, BRICK, CONCRETE OR WOOD WHEN ORDERING. These beautiful shelving units are available in various finishes and can be made to your specific measurements. I can add bookends to the shelves to aid in stacking books or DVDs for an extra £5. Again I can change dimensions to suit your needs at any time and have done on many an occasion. I also have 5 Tier shelving units listed as per the one in photo 3. Made from FSC regulated Pine and treated with 15 year rot protection (Tanalith E) these could actually be placed outside or in a bathroom. All wood comes from an environmentally friendly, traceable source and I can safely say that no chemicals have been used on the wood other than those used in staining / painting it.
