I love to add a pop of dimension to my cards to make them shakers or just to elevate an elements to make it higher – so to do that you need a 3D elements to raise up that stamp or image. Foam dots, squares or mounting tape are the easiest and lightness way to raise up those embellishments, but that foam tape can get super expensive – so why not learn to make your own!! In this post I show you how to make your own foam tape and then use it on a bee themed shaker card!! I also made these card not only a shaker card, but a fun fold card!! So there is a fun extra hidden fold in the card! Directions and measurements for this card are as follows: Cut Cardstock into an A2 sized card 5.5 X 8.5 fold in half Cut other half into 4.25 x 7.75 fold in half – this is the inside hidden card Back mat (yellow) dimensions – 4 1/8 x 5 1/4 I also used my Xyron 3\

Hello friends, I hope you all are well and coping with the isolation situation during these uncertain times. Thankfully we have blogs, social media, and many other ways to stay in contact with each other. Imagine this happened in the ’70s or the ’80s when the internet was a baby and all we had was rotary phones and tube TV? Now that would have been a nightmare, LOL!!! Anyways, today I have a super simple Spring-inspired friendship card. If you have been following me on Instagram you may have noticed I colored this TATTOO ROSE for day 21 of Kathy Raccosins Daily Marker Coloring Challenge. CARD DETAILS To begin, I had first stamped the TATTOO ROSE image onto kraft cardstock and colored it in using Prismacolor pencils. I then die cut it using the coordinating dies. I then added glimmer paste to a piece of kraft cardstock using the POLKA DOT BACKGROUND STENCILS. Next, I die cut the BLOOM HONEY CUTS using a different color of cardstock for each layer to coordinate with the
colors of the rose. To the top layer of the bloom word die (pink) I stacked a few layers together to give it more dimension. To finish off the simple card I stamped the sentiment from the BLOOM set and used the SENTIMENT BANNER DIES to die cut the sentiment out. Once all the pieces were done I arranged them onto an A2 sized landscape card and popped the pieces in place. I hope this simple Bloom, You Are Beautiful Friendship Card inspired you today.
