This listing is for a beautiful silver candlesnuffer with wonderful carved detail of stars and an aged dark patina that will add a touch of class and ceremony to any home or ritual. Candlesnuffers have traditionally been used to extinguish candles, to avoid spraying of wax when blowing candles out. I use a candlesnuffer whenever putting out candles, particularly during rituals. They add a weight and finality to finishing a ritual, and in some practices are considered to be a more respectful option than simply blowing a candle out. The bell is hinged and hangs from the long handle, with beautiful detail throughout, accented by a lovely patina. When the bell is extended the length of the bell and handle are 13 1/2 inches.
