The Burnside Cardigan is stitched from the top down and all the trim is added last with no seaming. You can add buttons, a zipper or both like I did. I really like the look of the buttons but I wanted the front of the sweater to stay closed. If you are going to add just buttons I suggest using at least 6 (I only have 5) to keep it closed better. A simple little cardigan for babies approximately 0-3 & 6-9 months. Listed as ‘intermediate’ but it really isn’t too complicated for an adventurous beginner. The sweater could also be made without the stripes. The yarn colour [Pixie] used for the initial sweater is no longer available so a substitute shade has been suggested but any colour of your choice would work well. There is a large selection.
