I have 20 years experience working with surveillance systems in Retail and Warehouse settings. I have monitored, installed, and set up cameras, and DVR’s so I knew what I wanted when it came to purchasing a system for my home. The quality and technology has become more and more affordable so I decided it was time to go ahead and invest in a decent system for my house, not because I had personally had any issues, but mainly for peace of mind. After doing some research, and looking at reviews I went with the Zosi brand, 1080p 2.0MP, 4 camera, 2tb DVR, wired system. I debated about a wireless system but decided that the wired system would probably be more stable, and harder to compromise for someone trying to hack into the wireless setup. All of the cameras are hardwired to the DVR and the DVR is hardwired via LAN

When I ordered my Zosi security cameras I was worried about not having enough wire left as my house is very long. These wires made the trick even thought 100FT was a little bit too long with 75 FT it would of been perfect. I just zip tided all the wires nice and neatly. Another thing I was worried about was the picture quality for the long stretch of cable but there is no difference in quality of the picture they look exactly the same as you can see in the picture I only used 4 cables of the 100FT and the rest where the one provided with my 1080P Zosi cameras. This product comes with power cables and video cables. My security cameras transmit video over my wireless network, so this review is based on my experience using the power extension cables (the cables ending with the red plug). The power extension cable uses a 5.5 x 2.1 mm power plug adapter. These power extension cables have too much resistance and were unable to provide sufficient power for my security cameras to function. The wire is just too thin for the 100 foot length of the cable. I recommend purchasing a different cable with at least 20AWG wires. Two of the cables provided insufficient power for my cameras to function properly at any distance from the recording unit.
