These do a great job filtering out a wide variety of contaminants including some harmful metals which are not addressed by some common-brand filters and are known to cause intestinal cancers. I also appreciate the alkalizing functionality of this system. Although I have not yet tested my water pH post-filtration yet to verify effectiveness, this is more of a cherry-on-top feature for me. I will update this review once I have done so. On the downside, I found the speed in which these filters process water to be much slower than other filters after several months of use. By the 4th month or so, water was barely moving through it; even left overnight, only about half the reservoir would make it through. To get the most out of these filters, you have to”flush” them every several weeks, an inconvenient extra requirement I did not realize

I buy these for my 4 cup size water pitcher from Seychelle. Mine is the original and only uses one filter; so this package will last for two refills on the filters. Works as described. Very pleased with purchase. UPDATE: I used these two filters many months after purchase. Both filters were defective. I’ve always purchased these filters through Seychelle; so I know how they should work. They both filtered in a very slow drip from the beginning and never completely filtered the water into the pitcher. I would not purchase filters from this seller again. I’ll buy them from Seychelle and pay the higher price.

ph20 says it will increase the alkalinity of filtered water. Itested the first two filters I bought, at twicethe regular filter price btw, and it did not change the ph AT ALL! No change and that was not alkaline either. It registered multiple times at 6. I used litmus paper and those dip strips with 3 color blocks on them. Everything came out as a 6. I bought 9 filters and that means I waster $135.00. The filters performed no different than the standard seychelle filters, or I would have said I lost $270.00. I have no idea how to contact the seller for a refund.
