Bryan C calls this “ Works better than expected “. Lots more comment, with Monkle124 explaining, “ Solid buy for the correct guage. “. One writes that this “ Not good on curves. “.

Works better than expected. I cut at most 20ga stainless steel, mostly cut 22ga galvanized steel sheets. For straight lines, this thing is incredible. Pretty much pulls itself down the sheet, you just have to keep it lined up which isn’t difficult. I wouldn’t recommend getting this to cut anything other than straight lines. A little bit of ugly curves isn’t a big deal, but it’s not going to cut perfect circles. It also removes about 1/4″ strip of metal as it cuts, so don’t plan on turning a 4×10 into 2 exact 4×5’s.

Works better than expected

For the money, it is a solid buy. Pretty well-made. I am a metal worker of 25 years and mostly use air tools, but purchased this for when i do not have a compressor on-site. My critical comment would be that the jaws do not open very wide so it prevents the trial of thicker materials ( maybe that’s the intention) but what it also does is shorten the cutting bite length significantly. Works well enough.

Solid buy for the correct guage.

Great for cutting in a straight line. If you are planning to cut corrugated metal roofing, it won’t do a good job if you are trying to cut curves. It will trim panels like nobody’s business, but for curves you are much better off using hand snips.

Not good on curves.
