This is by far my favorite pie pan, and I bake a lot of pies. What makes it particularly wonderful is its heft and thickness, which translates into great browning of the bottom crust. I like glass pie plates too, but I feel the aluminized steel pan, does even better. I can actually remove a whole pie from the pan without sticking, once the pie is cool. Try doing that in a glass pie pan. I also like the pan’s angled sides and extended lip, a great design for crimping and baking dough to stay put and in place. Study, thick and wonderful pie pan. Thank you USAPAN, always great products. I will murder anyone who uses a metal knife/pie server with this pan when I serve them pie. I am serious, I can do 20 years to avenge this pan 🙂 Unfortunately, the packaging or the storage conditions had caused dents on the item which made the Americoat come off. But Amazon customer representative dispatched me a new one with express overseas shipping and told me to keep the old one. So, nothing lost. Strongly suggest this pan. I’m a pie nerd and own over 100 different pie pans, including cast iron, silicone, steel, aluminium and stoneware ones. This one takes the cake.

After looking, without success, for a metal pie pan at the stores, I checked Amazon. I bought two, each of a different brand. This is the better of the two. It bakes evenly and is larger than the size of the pie pans at the pie restaurant chains. As a result, I don’t have to throw away some of the pumpkin pie mix, as this larger pie pie holds it all. I like the pan so much that I’m ordering another one. Best of all, it’s made in the USA!
