I’ve never purchased anything like this before. It was purchased as a “Santa gift” for my fiancé. I really hoped that I’d be able to put it together in my own so I could load it up with firewood and set it up while he was sleeping Christmas Eve (which is tomorrow)! I did and while it was a little challenging holding the parts together while putting in screws and bolts I managed. I’m SUPER happy with it and can not WAIT to leave it under the tree tomorrow night!!
Clean design, a little cumbersome for one person to assemble
This is a good set. The rack took about 5 minutes to put together. It holds a good amount of wood, without taking up too much floor space. We’re in New England and have the wood stove going all day in the winter, so we go through a good amount per day. It will hold enough for a full day of fire. And it’s sturdy enough you can even pile the wood a little higher if you want. The 2 inch clearance between the bottom rack and the floor is just the right size to keep 5 or 6 of the little fire starter logs under it too. The tools are also sturdy and can manage even the largest and heaviest chunks of wood, which is convenient. The only thing I didn’t like was the note that came with it. It offers a discount on a future order for a 5
Good sturdy product
I’m really disappointed w/ this product. One of the tools CAUGHT FIRE while using it. To extinguish, my husband and I had to submerge the tool in water. I find it surprising for fireplace tools to catch fire while using, esp. when described as”Black Wrought Iron”. This is clearly not iron, but black painted steel! The fumes from the paint were awful & smelled up our entire house. Poor quality!
