First off, DON’T buy the squirt and get mad when you cant use it to break a rusty bolt, cut 10G wire, or skin a deer with it. This tool is about the size of my thumb and in no way is it going to replace a full-size multi tool or a tool bag/kit. Now with that out of the way, let me just say this is one fine, high quality tool that will give any task its best shot. The file works just fine and the knife on mine came razor sharp. The large and small flat head screw drivers come in handy and the bottle opener works fairly well despite its size. And the scissors are awesome. Strong, sharp, and ready to snip anything. Lastly lets not forget the pliers. As small as they are, you can’t get a super grip on them, not that you need it anyhow.

I have owned a skeletool for 5-6 years. It has served me well, the problem is that it’s a full sized mutli tool, so it is not very convenient to carry it around sometimes. And what good is a multitool if it’s not available? That’s why I ordered this PS4, squirt. My first impression is that it is very small. Almost the same length as a standard house key. It has a smaller foot print than my car key fob. But the Leatherman PS4 Squirt is dense. In terms of weight, I feel as though the weight is the same as the skeletool which is much larger, but less the dense (images below). In terms of how it feels, it has a rough, matte-like texture, where as the skeletool has a polished smooth, clear-coated-like feel to it. I would like it better, if it were smoother to the touch. Especially since this PS4,

Like it, carry it every day BUT the scissor spring broke, I sent it in for warranty replacement and they returned a different model (the one with the wire strippers). After trying and trying to contact Leatherman to correct the problem I gave up and bought another Squirt. A few weeks later the scissor spring broke on that one – wasn’t even using it, just opened it and the spring bar was laying there broken off. I don’t understand how the scissors on my Swiss Army Knife are perfectly functional after 40 years but Leatherman scissors break sitting in my pocket.
