Comes to my rescue all the time! Makes opening jars, bottles etc way easier than doing so with my bare hands or with towels. I would suggest this to anyone looking for some extra grip for opening tough bottle caps with ease. Men have found this very handy too as sometimes it is not the strength that matters. I know you can slip something under a jar cover to let air in or make a hole on top of the metal lid, but when you need to re-seal tightly it does not make sense to tamper with the cover. These also work very well for plastic lids that have gotten stuck. Go ahead and buy them, you will not be sorry!

I had a similar jar grip for a number of years that I had to throw out because it eventually dried up and cracked. These are fantastic! I use them even for things that I could open myself but that tug a bit on the skin of my palms, such as not yet opened plastic bottles. I really like the variety of sizes and shapes–they’re just perfect for a number of jobs. My only beef is with the price fluctuations on amazon.com. I ordered these 2 weeks ago and came back for another set for a friend but won’t order it because they’ve gone up more than a dollar (17%, based on the price I paid).
Great product – what’s with the price fluctuations?
The description states this is silicone, but they reek of cheap synthetic rubber, something I’m highly sensitized to. I tried to use them, but the odor remains on my hands afterwards. I couldn’t even leave them on the counter because just walking into the room made me cough. My sensitivity is not the manufacturer’s fault, but I do expect descriptions to be accurate. Unfortunately, despite a lack of error on my part Amazon wants me to pay shipping to return the item – nearly $6 postage. The net refund would be mere cents. I am not happy. Other than the minor little detail of, um, not being able to use them, this set is pretty much as other reviewers describe. The conical one is much thicker than the other two, and drawer liner material works just as well (possibly better) for the flat ones.
