I didn’t bother with the door handle. It looked like it would come off too easily. But it opens just fine by grabbing the top. Where I have this, it actually works better to not have the handle. While it was getting to temperature the fans were noisy, but it is now quiet. I love having wine at the perfect temperature. No more too cold white or too warm red. I buy wines to consume, not to preserve, so this works just right for me. Some of the”fatter” wine bottles don’t fit as well as the more slender bottles. But I have found that if you put the ones that seem to fit tight in the cooler, nose in, they will all fit in fine. I was happy to find a wine cooler just the right size for the space I wanted it in. I love it so much, I am so happy with my purchase. I wanted a wine fridge for so long, but I couldn’t find one I liked. Then my problem was that every fridge had negative reviews…units would break, stop working, heat the wine up rather than cool it down, etc. Then…reviews had horror stories about little fridges being delivered dented, damaged, smashed into a thousand pieces. So I waited, read more reviews and finally took a chance. I LOVE my PURCHASE! First, it’s sleek, it’s cute and I love how easy the controls are.
