I bought it with grant money for teaching. I teach some science workshops, especially entomology. Very nice to hook to a projector and wow the kids with a moving, five-foot image of a millipede on the wall. I have been unable to get it to work with my laptop though, which is a bummer. No disc came with it to install a driver on my computer. An older Elmo works fine with my laptop, but does not zoom in as far. So, I am running it directly to the projector for now, and really digging it. I hope to get the laptop issue worked out soon.
I love this thing!
Our previous Elmo was about 8 years old. It also cost twice as much. Great product, great price and the displays are very clear. We use it in the courtroom and are very happy.
