I use the tie-downs in the cargo are of my Subaru Outback as attachment points for various things, the most important being my doggo’s”seatbelt”. She got too excited and broke one of them (they are cheap pot metal). These eye bolts screw directly into the body where there is normally a screw holding the oem tie-down loops. Much stronger and safer for my dog and way more useful for all the other things I use these for!
Fixed the flimsy tie-down hooks in my Outback
These eyebolts fit the wall mounts screws holes on my large Vizio TVs. I can run steel cable through two of the eyebolts and swage the top and bottom with stoppers and then attach the cable to a fixed point and the TV isn’t going anywhere unless they have some very large bolt cutters and a lot of time. They are perfect for this security use.
Secures my large TVs
I use them on my kayak as tie downs for my fishing gear. It gives my kayak a nice little custom look and holds gear down tight with bungee’s. My only wish is that it came in a pack of 6 rather than 5. I still have one tie down that’s the”old type” but I can’t see buying another five pack just to replace that last one. Regardless…they are great for my intended use.
